The Graduate Student Association (GSA) at UT supports the academic, social, and administrative needs of graduate students throughout the University of Toledo. GSA is all about YOU, and is here to serve as your voice at the university of Toledo
The Graduate Student Association strives to serve the Graduate Students of UT in three global areas…
Professionally & Academically
The GSA sponsors the Midwest Graduate Research Symposium every spring. This symposium gives students an opportunity to present their research to fellow graduate students, spanning across a plethora of disciplines including the Biomedical Sciences, Arts and Science, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Health Science & Human Service, Law, Medicine, Nursing & Pharmacy. The GSA also provides partial grants to graduate students to attend and present their original research at conferences and other professional meetings.
The GSA sponsors social events on and off campus including barbecues, bowling, trips to the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Mud Hens games, outings to local bars and restaurants. GSA can also be found on Facebook and Twitter. The most appealing part of GSA is that it is completely student run; the activities and goals of the GSA are set by its members, YOU!
How do I become involved?
The success of the Graduate Student Association depends on the influx of new individuals. Every graduate student at UT is automatically a member of the GSA, and depending on your interests, you can choose to become as involved as you wish. The GSA holds monthly meetings and there are numerous GSA and university committees that GSA members can serve on such as the GSA Travel Reimbursement Committee, GSA Social Events Committee, GSA Professional Development Committee, GSA Public Relations Committee, The Graduate Council, and the Graduate Council Executive Committee. Your involvement can make a difference!
